Ok, comeon, everyone has to have had used a Nokia cell phone.. unless of course you are a youngster and just weren't around in that era... either way you may still want to unlock your Nokia cell phone. Most older Nokia models can be unlocked for free via code as well as some new Nokia cell phone models.

With that out of the way, now I can teach you how to unlock your phone in this process.

First you need to be familiar with what's actually going on here...

The phone will allow you a certain amount of attempts to unlock it via code, generally, you will have 5 tries to get the right code. The NokiaFree code generator is usually pretty good but we need to make sure that the specifics are entered correctly, such as your IMEI # (this can be found under the battery or you can type *#06# at the phones home screen), current provider (the network phone is locked to), and of course the phone model. With this the generator will output 7 codes, in my experience, I've had more than 10 phones work on the very first one, as I said earlier, NokiaFree is a great program.

You don't have to download NokiaFree to use it either, they also have a super cool and convenient online interface as well. To make sure things go smoothly for you, here are a few things to remember:

• Remove the SIM Card from the phone during this process.
• To input the "p" character, just press "*" three times within one second.
• To input the "w" character, just press "*" four times within one second.
• To input the "+" character, just press  "*" twice within less than a second.

When you input the correct unlock code, the phone will display "Phone Restriction Off".
